Body Wrap Spas

Since a body wrap can be messy, do it while lying down in a bath tub. The other option is, of course, to go to a spa or health clinic and get it done by a professional. Then you have no worries about the amount of ingredients to use and the time for which you need to apply the wrap.

You are then in professional and safe hands, so you can just lie back and enjoy the experience. Of course, a wrap session in a spa can be a pretty expensive procedure. You need to measure up the cost against the obvious benefits and then decide where you want to get it done – in a spa by a pro, or on your own in the comfort of your tub.

Some Body Wrapping Tips

The following are some simple pointers to make your body wrap session effective and also pleasant.

First of all, do the wrap session in a tub if you are doing it at home, as anywhere else can be really messy. You need to open up the pores of your skin prior to taking a body wrap. To achieve this, have a warm shower before you start the procedure.

Besides, since the wrap session can be a long one in terms of the time taken, it is a good idea to have a television or a music system handy, so you can watch TV or listen to your favorite music as you go about the wrap.

Sometimes during the wrap, you may be required to keep your body temperatures warm. You can achieve this by using a foil thermal blanket.

Drink plenty of water

Here are some of the things that you can do after the body wrap session is over.

Drink a lot of water once you have finished the session. Drinking the water helps you flush out the toxins accumulated in your body.

Do not drink alcohol for 48 hours after the wrap session. It is a good idea to stay away from fat-rich food products and caffeine as well for the same period.

Prevent the weight returning

Also, once you are done with the wrap, here is what you can do to ensure that the flab that you lost does not come back on.

First of all, drink lots of water, as this helps keep the body clean by flushing out the toxins internally, as mentioned earlier.

Secondly, do not use soaps and lotions for 6 to 8 hours after the wrap session. The ingredients of soaps and creams can block the pores of the skin. Even when showering before the wrap session, use just warm water, with none of these ingredients.

Cut down on fatty foods and concentrate more on food with fiber in it.

You can also dry skin brush daily to firm up your skin. This you need to do daily after the wrap session. And then, finally, there is always that thing called exercise. Exercise helps you to stay fit, healthy, and trim.
