Ayurvedic Prescriptions for BP Patients

Ayurveda prescribes intake of raw garlic for patients of hypertension and cardiovascular disease. A freshly peeled clove taken with water on an empty stomach is known to work both on cholesterol directly and blood biochemistry in general.

According to ayurveda, garlic also strengthens the heart muscles.

Besides, Divya Mukta Vati of Divya Pharmacy is an ayurvedic prescription medicine which helps in hypertension. The prescribed dosage is one or two tablets twice a day, on an empty stomach in the morning and then again half an hour before dinner.

You can set up your own customized dosage based on the prescribed one. You can reduce the dosage, for example, if you feel any kind of uneasiness, or can even take it on alternate days. Most ayurvedic medicines have no side effects, and they need not be taken under strict supervision from a physician, though general guidance is required, for most of them are akin to food supplements.
